CIIAC Alliance With “Let’s Play In Italian”

The Cen­ter for Ital­ian & Italian Amer­i­can Cul­ture is proud to announce an alliance with “Let’s Play in Ital­ian” (Giochi­amo in ital­iano ©).  They will be open­ing their fourth loca­tion at Sharon Miller’s Dance Acad­emy for the Per­form­ing Arts at 14 South Park Street in Mont­clair, New Jer­sey.  Classes begin Tues­day, Octo­ber 12 — Novem­ber 2, 2010.  Let’s Play in Ital­ian uses a proven play­group method for chil­dren in a fun set­ting to intro­duce Ital­ian as a sec­ond language.

Announcing 2010 Gala Honorees

The Cen­ter for Ital­ian & Ital­ian Amer­i­can Cul­ture invites you to cel­e­brate its twen­ti­eth anniver­sary as an orga­ni­za­tion at The Villa in Moun­tain Lakes, New Jer­sey on Fri­day, Novem­ber 12, 2010.  This year, we are ask­ing all the hon­orees from years passed to join us in this momen­tous com­mem­o­ra­tion.  A cock­tail hour with music com­mences at 7:00 pm, fol­lowed by the main event at 8:00 pm.  Bring your appetite!  This year’s hon­orees are:

Italian Picnic

The Cen­ter for Ital­ian & Ital­ian Amer­i­can Cul­ture invites you to an Ital­ian Pic­nic on Sun­day, Sep­tem­ber 26th at 1:30 pm at Southard Park, located at 69 North Maple Avenue in Bask­ing Ridge, New Jer­sey.  Our menu includes home­made pizza pre­pared in a brick oven on the premises by Chef Michele of Trat­to­ria Mediter­ranea.  Also, enjoy porchetta (whole roasted pig) and salad.  Please bring your own drinks and an appetite!

Cost is $25.00 per person.

Magnanini Winery Trip 2010

The Cen­ter for Ital­ian & Ital­ian Amer­i­can Cul­ture invites you to its annual trip to Mag­nanini Win­ery on Sun­day, Octo­ber 3, 2010. Back by pop­u­lar demand, this will be an unfor­get­table day for all. Enjoy a day of wine tast­ing with wines pro­duced lov­ingly by the Mag­nanini fam­ily.  Sam­ple cheeses made by local farm­ers.  A deli­cious six course din­ner will fol­low, all spe­cially pre­pared by Mag­nanini chefs.  This year’s enter­tain­ment will be given by world class accor­dion­ist Mario Tacca along with “Ricci” on the drums.  The bus will leave the cen­ter park­ing lot at 9:45 am.  The event will begin around 12:00 — 1:00 pm, fol­lowed by a six-course din­ner and music.  Cost is $85.00 for mem­bers and $99.00 for non-members.

Frungillo Schol­ar­ships to Nicki Lardieri from Sum­mit, New Jer­sey and to Anto­nio Joseph Napoli­tano from Madi­son, New Jer­sey.  Joseph Alessi, Esq. (Pres­i­dent of CIIAC) recently pre­sented The Peter Coco­ziello, Sr. Schol­ar­ship to Marisa Mormile, from West­field, New Jer­sey.  Con­grat­u­la­tions and best wishes to Anto­nio, Nicki, and Marisa!

Patrick O’Boyle, an inter­na­tional attor­ney with offices in New Jer­sey and Delaware deal­ing with import/export.  O’Boyle is also an Adjunct Pro­fes­sor in Busi­ness Law at Feli­cian Col­lege in Bergen County.

Domenick Cama, a Senior Exec­u­tive Vice Pres­i­dent & Chief Oper­at­ing Offi­cer of Investors Sav­ings Bank.

John A. Zaz­zali, an attor­ney at the law firm of Ambro­sio & Chi­aia in Mont­clair, New Jer­sey.  Mr. Zaz­zali is a Cedar Grove res­i­dent along with his wife of 8 years, Chris­tine and their three chil­dren.  His main focus has always been on fam­ily, tra­di­tion and community.
